1 tsp salt
1/3 c lard
1/2 milk

mix dry ingredients
add milk to make stiff dough
roll on floured surface to 1/8-1/4 inch thickness
After dropping into boiling stock cover and boil gently until tender
10-15 min

Grandma cooked hers in broth from a whole chicken and added a stick of
butter. She said to never lift the lid or stir while cooking

Virgie was known for her good cooking but never had recipes. anything passed on is going to be vague. We always had huge Sunday dinners and grandma would destroy whatever kitchen she was in and us granddaughters cleaned up. But looking back it was well worth it. I only remember the food and not the slave labor:)
