1 1/2 C raisins
1 C water
1 1/2 C Sugar
1 C shortening

3 eggs beaten
3 1/2 C flour
1 t baking soda
1 tsp baking powder

Directions:
Directions:

Boil raisins in the 1 C water until the water dissolves. Allow to cool
Cream sugar and shortening till fluffy
Add the eggs and beat.
Add the dry ingredients along with the cooled raisins.
Take by teaspoon and roll into ball, press down with bottom of a glass dipped in sugar
Place on 2nd rack from bottom, bake at 375 for 5 - 6 minutes, till golden brown; watch carefully they burn fast.
