2 CUPS SIFTED FLOUR
1/4 TSP SALT
1 TSP CLOVES
1/ 2 CUP BROWN SUGAR
1/2 CUP WHITE SUGAR
1 EGG, BEATEN
2 TSP SODA
1 TSP CINNAMON
1 TSP GINGER

CREAM CRISCO AND SUGARS; ADD MOLASSES AND EGG; BEAT WELL.

SIFT DRY INGREDIENTS; ADD TO CREAMED MIXTURE AND MIX WELL.

ROLL IN SMALL BALLS AND DIP IN SUGAR.

PLACE 2 INCHES APART ON COOKIE SHEET.

BAKE 350 DEGREES FOR 9-12 MINUTES
