1-1/2 C water
1 C cottage cheese
1/2 C honey
1/4 C butter
2 C unbleached flour
5 C whole wheat flour
2 Tbsp sugar
3 tsp salt
2 pkgs active dry yeast
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the first four ingredients until very warm (about 120). Combine warm liquid, 2 C ONLY of the flour and the remaining ingredients (except the 5 C of wheat flour. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Start mixing in the remaining flour (may have to knead in the last Cup).

Knead on well floured surface from 8 - 10 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover and let rise until doubled. Grease bread pans, punch down the dough, divide into two loaves and put into greased pans. Let rise til double in size.

Bake for 40 minutes at 350 until loaves are very brown. Remove from pan and cool on a wire rack. Brush top an dsides with melted butter.

This bread is fragrant and comes out beautifully every time. Using a bread keeper helps to store that second loaf, if it isn't gone before it needs storing. This recipe won a blue ribbon at some County fair.
