2/3 cups shortening
2/3 cups butter or margerine (soft)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
2 pkg semi sweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Stir in remaining ingredients. For a softer rounder cookie add 1/2 cup flour.

Drop by rounded teaspoon fulls - 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool slightly before remaining from cookie Sheet.

Bake at 375 for 10 minutes
