2 cups lukewarm Water
2 cups Milk
1 cake compressed Yeast
3 Tbsp Sugar
2 Tbsp Salt
2 Tbsp Shortening
6 cups Flour
6 cups Whole Wheat Flour

Preheat oven to 425ºF

Directions:
1. Scald milk; cool to lukewarm
2. Soften yeast in a small amount of water. Add the yeast and remaining water to the milk.
3. Add Sugar, slat and shortening
4. Add flour and work it thoroughly
5. Knead dough on a lightly floured board.
6. Placer dough in a greased bowl, cover and allow to rise in a warm place. (80-85ºF) until dough will retain the impression of a finger (about 1½ hours)
7. Punch down the dough and turn over, cover and allow to rise (about 1½ hours)
8. Shape into loaves.
9. Place in well greased pans and allow to rise until love fill pans (about 1½ hours)
10. Bake 425ºF for 10 minutes. Reduce oven heat to 375ºF and bake for 35-50 minutes.
