Yummy Pumpkin Bread

1 Can pumpkin purée
4 eggs
1/2 Cup oil
1/2 Cup apple sauce
2 Cups sugar
2 Cups white whole wheat flour
1 1/2 Cups all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground ginger

1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour 3 - 7x3" loaf pans.
2. In large bowl mix together pumpkin, eggs, oil and sugar until well blended.
3. In a separate bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger.
4. Stir dry ingredients into pumpkin mixture until just blended.
5. Optional: Add raisins or nuts, sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top before baking
5. Bake for about 50 minutes in preheated oven.

After many years of enjoying Aunt Denyse's pumpkin bread, I asked her for the recipe. I believe she originally shared the recipe in a Facebook group message in 2016. This was the note from Aunt Denyse:

Carolyn asked for this recipe, but I thought you may all like it too. It's very moist and freezes well. Enjoy!
