Velveeta, cut into chunks
sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
macaroni
ground mustard
milk
flour

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cook macaroni as directed. Drain.

2. Make a thickening mixture of water and a little flour. Heat over medium heat. As it thickens, add some milk; mix thoroughly. Add Velveeta, and shredded cheddar. When melted and smooth, add a small amount of the ground mustard to the sauce. Add milk, or water, to the cheese sauce as needed.

3. Combine the macaroni with the cheese sauce.

I have no idea where Mom got this recipe, it just was a staple in our home. I have made this for years, and didn't know until a few years ago that Mom added ground mustard to the sauce. I often add garlic powder, but didn't know about the ground mustard. It adds a little tang to the sauce. You don't need much, This is another recipe that I have never seen measured. Allow your heart to decide when there is enough cheese.
