12 medium apples
2 packages red cinnamon candies
1 c. water
1 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and core apples. Slice into apple rings. Combine sugar, water, and candies. Boil until candies dissolve and mixture becomes syrupy. Gently simmer apples in syrup, three or four at a time, until bright red. Drain on waxed paper or foil-covered rack. Can be served cold.

These apples were served for holiday lunches. They were especially decorative at Christmastime.
