4 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup oil
2 tsp. almond extract....Beat together with mixer

mix...2 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup slivered almonds cut into even smaller pieces
2 1/2 tbsp apricot pineapple preserves

Mix and form dough, make two strips putting one on either side of a sheet pan. put the jam down the middle, use other strip to cover the jam piece. wet hand and go over it to secure the filling inside. Bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes. Slice in slants and put back in oven til brown

I never had the chance to try one of these but they were Grandma Elardo's cookies. Mom must have liked them to actually have the recipe.
