½ cup Crisco
½ cup Margarine or unsalted butter at room temp
½ cup light or dark brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla
2 eggs
2 ¼ cups flour
1 Tbsp Baking Soda
½ Tsp salt
1 - 16 oz bag of semi sweet chocolate chips or your other favorite chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º
Use Parchment paper on your cookie sheet to avoid bottoms sticking or getting too brown
Mix in large bowl sugar, margarine, crisco and brown sugar
Add eggs and vanilla and salt, and baking soda, and beat with mixer until blended well
Add flour and mix by hand
Add chocolate chips
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly brown. Do not overbake. Let them stand 2 minutes and then use a spatula and remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack.
