6 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup chopped carrots
¼ cup all purpose flour
3 ½ cups chicken broth
1 package refrigerated, shredded hash browns
1 cup evaporated milk

Directions:
Directions:
In a large sauce pan cook bacon pieces until crisp. Add onions and carrots, cook for about 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add flour, cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently. Once smooth, add broth. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Add hash browns, reduce heat to medium-low, simmer 6-8 minutes or until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in milk. Cook 2-3 minutes or until thoroughly heated (do not boil once milk is added).
