1 lb ground beef
2 - 3 Garlic cloves, minced
½ onion, chopped
parsley flakes
oregano
salt
1 lb small curd cottage cheese
1 ½ lb mozzarella cheese
1 lb lasagna
1 large can of tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste
large or medium can tomato sauce
1 or 2 pans

Directions:
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef. Add garlic and onion. Remove most of the fat.

2. Smash or blend the tomatoes. Add to ground beef. Add the tomato paste. Toss in parsley, salt and oregano. Stir thoroughly. Simmer.

3. While sauce is simmering, Slice your mozzarella cheese.

4. While above is simmering, boil water in large pot. Cook pasta as directed.

5. Spread sauce in pans, the a layer of pasta. Spoon cottage cheese on top; top with mozzarella slices.

6. Repeat above with 2 or 3 layers.

7. Cook on 350º for 30 minutes.

This is Nan's recipe. It's a favorite of all the Taylors. I have no idea where she got this recipe, but I have enjoyed it often. She sent me this recipe. The last line of the recipe said "Eat and smile".
