5 Tbsp Butter or Margerine
⅓ cup brown sugar
1 cup sifted flour
¼ cup chopped walnuts
½ cup granulated sugar
8oz. cream cheese, softened
1 egg
2 Tbsp milk
1 Tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and brown sugar; add flour and nuts and mix well. Set aside one cup of the mixture for topping.
Press remainder in bottom of 8 X 8 X 2 pan.

Bake at 350º for 12-15 minutes.

Blend sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Add egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla. Beat well. Spread over bottom crust, sprinkle with reserved topping. Return to oven, bake 25 minutes more. Cool, then chill. Cut into squares. Keep refrigerated.
