Combine and cream until fluffy [4 minutes]

Single recipe -- Doubled recipe


1 cup soft shortening [not butter] -- 2 cups shortening
1 ½ cup granulated sugar -- 3 cups sugar
½ tsp salt -- 1 tsp salt
2 eggs -- 4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla -- 2 tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp almond flavoring -- ½ tsp. almond flavoring

Dissolve together
½ tsp soda -- 1 tsp. soda
3 tblsp cream ½ ice cream/sweet or sour cream -- 6 tbsp.cream

Gradually add
3 cups flour -- 6 cups flour

Wrap in wax paper and chill [over night is ok]

Roll out to 1/8 inch thick and cut out cookies
Bake ungreased cookie sheet at 375º 8-10 minutes
