1 1/2 scalded milk
2 heaping Tbsp butter
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar

2 tbsp yeast
1 tsp sugar
warm water
2 eggs

5 cups or more flour

raisins optional

Cinnamon and sugar.

Directions:
Directions:
Bring milk ingredients to boil and then cool and mix in eggs.

Dissolve yeast in water and sugar.

Add flour until a workable dough.
Knead on floured board until smooth.
Put dough in a greased bowl in a warm place to rise until double in size. (cover with a towel.)
Divide into 3 parts. Roll out 1 part, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with raisins, cinnamon and sugar.
Roll up and cut into slices. Put in a pan. Let rise again for 30 minutes.

Bake at 350 F for 20 to 25 minutes until golden.
