3 lbs sirloin tip or round steaks, cut into medium sized pieces.
1 large onion
1 large green pepper (or color of choice)
2 garlic cloves, crushed and minced
3 Tbsp canola oil
2 Tbsp butter
1 can tomato sauce
15-20 shakes of Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp beef base
1/2 cup water
2 tsp sugar
Granulated onion
Salt and pepper to taste
Dry parsley flakes

Heat skillet until hot, add oil. Brown meat in batches. Place meat in deep baking dish.

Cut onion and pepper into 1/4 inch slices. Add butter to skillet, cook peppers and onions until softened. Add garlic and cook another minute. Spoon onions, peppers and garlic over meat.

Using same skillet add remainder of ingredients. Bring to a soft boil. Pour over meat and pepper mixture. Cover with foil. Bake for approximately one to one and a half hours on 350 degrees. Remove foil for last 15 minutes or so.

Serve over mashed potatoes.
