You will need –
A jar of sauerkraut
onions and garlic
1-2 carrots
1-2 potatoes
1 small package of riblets (pork)
36%Heavy Cream
1-2 tablespoons of olive oil
Salt and pepper
Directions:
Directions:
In a medium pot, sauté the onions and garlic until translucent. Rinse the sauerkraut and squeeze the water and add to the pot; add water or broth to 2/3 of the pot. Wash and cut up the riblets into bit sized pieces, add to the pot and cook this for about ˝ hour. Add the diced potatoes and carrots to the pot; add salt and pepper to taste; add the heavy cream to taste. Cook until vegetables are done. Enjoy!

This is Baba Husak's recipe - another golden oldie. Every year when I go to Soup and Caroles at church; folks are waiting for me to bring this soup and Borscht. I have given out this recipe to many folks from many nationalities including Asian!
