• Large pitted dates
• Bacon strips cut in half
• Goat cheese or blue cheese

~ Stuff each date with cheese
~ Wrap in bacon and secure with toothpick.
~ Bake at 375º for 15 minutes, then turn over and bake for 10 – 15 minutes on other side, until bacon is crisp

Personal Notes:
Mum’s version of stuffed dates was a candy or dessert item rather than appetizer. She would stuff each date with marzipan, top with blanched toasted almond and roll in sugar.
