1 cup evaporated milk
2 cups shortening
6 beaten egg yolks
2 tsp. vanilla
2 pkgs dry yeast dissolved in 1/2 cup warm water
6 cups flour
1 tsp. salt


FILLING:
2 eggs
2/3 cups cugar
1/2 cup milk
8 cups ground nuts (2 lbs)

Directions:
Warm milk oven medium heat. Add shortening and stir til melted. Remove from heat and add egg yolks, vanilla, and yeast slowly, stirring continuously. Stir in flour and salt.

Refrigerate 6 hours or over nite.

FILLING:
Beat eggs and sugar gradually; add milk. Stir in ground nuts. (Nuts ground on low speed of electric blender are perfect fineness.)

Allow dough to stand at room temperature for 1 hour. Take 1/8 of dough and roll on granulated sugar until 1/8 - 1/6 " thickness. Cut 2 inch squares and spread with filling. Roll diagonally. Place on greased cookie sheet with seam down. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes.
