1 cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 cup confectioners sugar
2 cups sifted flour
1 cup finely chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter until very soft, then add the vanilla, salt and sugar. Stir in the flour gradually (you can skip your arm exercises today). Add the chopped pecans and mix well. Take a small amount of dough (about a tsp. and a half) and roll into a pencil shape but not too thin. (maybe a quarter to one inch thick) Shape into crescents. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet, 10 to 15 minutes, in a pre-heated 350º oven. While warm, roll in powdered sugar.
