1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 medium size Hersey's chocolate bars (thin bars)
1 cup finely chopped nuts (almond or pecan)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine in heavy saucepan butter, sugar and water. Heat together over medium high heat stir constantly until mixture bubbles; turn down to medium heat. (275º to soft crack stage) It should still bubble. The mixture will turn dark amber in color when it is ready. It takes a while about 30 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla.

Pour candy into a buttered cookie sheet. Lay chocolate bars on top; they will melt. Spread melted chocolate around to cover candy. Sprinkle with nuts. When cooled, break into pieces. Store in a cool place.
