1 cup Apple Cider vinegar
1 small onion, finely chopped
1-2 jalapeno peppers, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon coarse pepper
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
½ cup water

--Mix all ingredients in a nonreactive bowl.

--Store in refrigerator until needed.

--From Tim: I make this ahead of time and let it meld together before use. Always make extra to use for your slaw. Also, a little shot of this when you make your sandwich, keeps the meat moist and gives a little extra flavor.
