1 1/2 c sugar
1 c shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
3 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 c milk
1 tsp white vinegar
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar, shortening and eggs. Combine nutmeg, salt, flour and sift. Stir soda into milk and vinegar. Alternately add milk mixture and dry mixture to sugar mixture. Add vanilla. Drop teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet or make balls and dip into sugar. Bake at 375 for about 10 minutes.
