Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

cup butter
cup shortening
cup brown sugar, packed
cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 cups all-purpose flour
tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 375
2. In a small mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside
3. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg, beat well.
4. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixtures. Mix well. Add semi-sweet chocolate chips. Mix well.
5. Use a cookie scoop and place dough 2 inches apart on an ungreased cooked sheet.
6. Bake for 9-10 minutes.
