2 1/4 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 sticks butter or 1 c margarine
3/4 c white sugar
3/4 c packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups semi sweet Nestle morsels
optional nuts or other morsels

Directions:
Preheat to 375. Mix everything but chips/nuts in a large bowl and then add the chips/nuts. Refrigerate. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 for 9-11 minutes. Be especially watchful during first batch to figure out correct time for the size. Let cool slightly before moving to wire racks to cool.
Pan cookie: Grease pan and spread dough into pan. Bake at 375 for 20-25 min and then cool in pan.
