3-16 ounce cans of garbanzo beans
⅓ cup Tahini
2 lemons, juiced
1 tablespoon garlic powder
Salt
Olive oil
Ground red pepper

Directions:
Directions:
--Drain garbanzo beans and reserve liquid from 1 can

--Add beans to food processor and blend until smooth

--Add lemon juice, garlic powder and salt to taste

--Stir tahini in jar until well blended and running off spoon prior to adding to mix

--Add tahini to beans and blend

--Add reserved bean liquid and blend

--Add more tahini if needed to desired consistency

--Remove to serving dish

--Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with red pepper prior to serving

--The Maida family always served this with fresh Syrian bread cut into wedges.

--This is also good with crackers or melba toast.
