Date Roll Cookies Recipe

2 C brown sugar
1 C butter
3 eggs
1 t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
4 1/2 C flour


Filing;
1/4 C sugar
2 T flour
1/2 C water
1/C chopped dates or rasins

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 3 ingredients until creamy.
Add baking soda, cinnamon and flour 1 cup at a time.
Blend after each addition of flour.
Chill.

Then make the filing;
mix flour, sugar and water and heat until thickened
Add dates

Cook to spread.


When dough is chilled.
Roll out into (2) 8 x 18 inch rectangle
spread filing on top
roll up starting with the long side.

Once it is rolled into a log. place on tin foil that has been sprayed with pam.

Chill

Bake 350 degrees.
Slice and place on cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes
