2 cups pecans
1- 12oz can evaporated milk
1½ cups sugar
¾ cup butter
6 egg yolks
2 cups flaked coconut
1½ tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º and bake pecans in single layer in a shallow pan for 8-10 minutes. Stirring half way through. Cool completely and chop.

Cook evaporated milk, sugar, butter, and egg yolks (lightly beaten) in a heavy 3 quart saucepan over medium heat. Stirring constantly about 3-4 minutes, until butter melts and sugar dissolves. Continue to cook stirring constantly until mixture becomes light caramel color, bubbling and reaches pudding like thickness about 12-14 minutes.

Remove from heat and add coconut, vanilla, and pecans. let cool stirring occasionally.
