1 pork shoulder pork butt, 5 to 9 lbs.
1 can (12 oz.) Coca Cola or root beer
your favorite rub
liquid smoke

Directions:
Directions:
Score the pork butt, rub liquid smoke on the pork, then using your favorite rub, put on pork butt, rub in well.
Preheat oven to 450.
Put pork butt in roasting pan and put in oven for 30-40 minutes.
Take from oven, put in large crockpot on low, pour cola or root beer around pork butt.
Cook on low for 10-12 hours. Let rest 30 minutes. Shred. Serve on buns. Or just eat it plain like Stephanie does!

Note:
DO NOT use DIET Coke or DIET root beer. The sugar is essential to the flavor.
