Joanne’s Layered Lemon Delight Recipe

First Layer (Crust)
2 cups of flower
1 cup of sliced almonds (roast almonds before only a few minutes)
½ cup of melted butter (may require ¾ cup)
2 tbs. sugar
Mix together and press into 9” x 13” pan.
Bake @ 325 F for 25 – 30 minutes (or until browned)
Let cool

Second Layer
8 oz pkg cream cheese softened
1 cup of icing sugar
2 cups real whipping cream (I use Nutrawhip)
Mix cream cheese and icing sugar with electric mixer.
In a separate bowl, whip whipping cream until soft peaks form.
Fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture.
Spread over cooled base.

Third Layer
Prepare 2 large packages of lemon pie filling.
Cool stirring often.
Pour over second Layer.

Fourth Layer
2 cups of the real whipping cream
3 tbsp. icing sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix together.
Top it off with ½ - 1 cup of roasted sliced almonds.

Layer and enjoy!
