4 cups flour
6 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup shortening
1 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
--Sift dry ingredients together

--Cut shortening into dry ingredients until you have coarse crumbs. Mix the dough as little as possible,

--Add milk and knead dough sparingly. (Add additional milk if necessary)

--Roll out to approximately ½ inch thick.

--Cut with biscuit cutter

--Transfer to baking sheet and bake in 450ºF oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
