Crust...........1 cup of butter, 4 tbls. of confectioner sugar, 2 cups of flour


Topping.......3 egg whites, cup of sugar, - cup of brown sugar, 2 tbls. of flour, 1 heaping tsp. of baking powder, 1 tsp. vanilla extract, 1 cup coconut, 1 cup of chopped walnuts.

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter, confectioner sugar, and flour. Press into a 9x13" pan or cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes, ........... Combine the egg whites, sugar, brown sugar, flour, vanilla, coconut, baking powder, and walnuts. Spread this gently over the crust. Bake until golden brown.

Nanny Whitcomb made these for special occasions, I could of eaten the whole tray. We were always able to eat the edges when she was taking them to an occasion. I specifically remember her making these for her and Grampy's 25th wedding anniversary party. The day of the party which would of been mid- August she uncovered them only to find out they were full of tiny ants!
