2 cups water
2 cups vinegar
1 stick cinnamon
1 t. cloves
1 t. allspice

Directions:
Boil syrup ingredients for 20-30 minutes. Pour over cooked, peeled and sliced or quarted beets in jars and seal. Refrigerate or process as per canning guidelines.
