c. c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream 1/2 c butter and 1 c sugar
Add 2 eggs, beat well
Sift 2 c flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda and 1/2 tsp salt
Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Mix well.
Add 1 tsp vanilla
Pour half of batter into greased tube pan. Sprinkle with half of nut mixture. Cover with remaining batter and nut mixture.
Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes.

Can also bake in 9 x 9" pan.

Katherine loves this cake, which she calls "Milk Cake" because she drinks it with milk not coffee! She was making it on her own (but supervised) when she was 9.
