Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
2 Cups flour
2 Teaspoons baking powder
teaspoon salt
4 Tablespoons shortening (mom used butter)
Cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles course crumbs. Add milk slowly, mixing well with fork.
Roll out inch thick. Cut out biscuits and bake on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 450 for 12 to 15 minutes.

SOUR MILK BISCUITS VARIATION

Substitute sour milk or buttermilk and add teaspoon baking soda.
