½ cup softened butter
½ cup Crisco butter shortening
1-½ cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2-¾ cups flour
½ tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt

2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and shortening in a large bowl until well blended.
Add eggs and mix well.
Add vanilla.

In another bowl, mix all dry ingredients.
Add dry ingredients into shortening mixture,
Mix very well.
Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes to make it easier to work with.

Mix together 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon in small bowl.

Roll dough into small balls, one at a time, and then roll them in cinnamon mixture until well coated.

Place on engrossed cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350º.

They will look uncooked as they will not turn brown and will complete cooking as they cool.
