cup of butter, cup sugar, 2 eggs, 2 tsp. grated lemon rind, 2 cups flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, cup of milk, .. 2 tbls. lemon juice, and 2 tbls. of sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs , mix dry ingredients and add alternatley with milk. Mix well , Put into a greased bread pan and bake for 50 minutes, knife inserted should come out clean. Bake at a 350 oven................ While still warm mix lemon juice and sugar and pour over top of lemon bread.

This is very much like a pound cake, the lemon and sugar drizzled over the top will get a little bit of a crunch to it. It is great to pull out when you want a cup of coffee. It will keep quite a while wrapped in the fridge!
