1 lg. cabbage shredded
1 lg. onion cut up
1 bell pepper cut up (optional)
1/2 c. sugar

Mix cabbage, onion, pepper. Put sugar over the cabbage mixture and let set. Mix in saucepan for dressing: 1 tsp. mustard, 1/2 c. corn oil, 1/2 c. vinegar, 2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. celery seed, 4 tsp.sugar. Boil dressing mixture for 1 minute. Pour dressing mixture over the cabbage mixture while it is hot. Let cool then store in refrigerator for several hours before serving. Keeps a week.
