In the pan used for frying the vaurst (mennonite farmer's sausage) or bacon, Add cream (whipping or half and half), salt and pepper and while stirring bring to a slow boil to allow the golden sausage bits to flavor the cream. To this, add 1-2 tsp of flour mixed in cold water, whisking and allowing to thicken. If too thick, add more water.

This is a huge family favorite over homemade noodles! Don't forget the ketchup! Also good over macaroni or boiled potatoes.
