Crust:
½ cup melted butter
⅓ cup sugar
1½ cup crushed Vanilla Wafers
1 cup finely chopped nuts

Batter:
1 cup butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup milk
2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2⅔ cups all-purpose flour
1½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt

Crust:
Combine and mix well. Press onto the bottom and sides of 2, well greased loaf pans. Set aside.

Batter:
Cream butter and sugar until light a fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well in between. In separate bowl, combine milk and vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add butter mixture alternately with milk. Beat well. Pout batter into prepared loaf pans and bake at 350ºF for 45 mins - 1 hour. Use toothpick to test for doneness. Turn out onto wire racks to cool.
