Lee Prestridge

1 oblong loaf Italian bread
1 cup shredded monterey jack or mozzarella cheese
cup grated parmesan cheese
3 tsp minced garlic
cup melted butter
2 tsp Dijon mustard
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp each salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 350. Score bread crosshatch into 1 inch squares, cutting ALMOST all the way through but leaving bottom intact.

In a small bowl mix cheeses and garlic. Stuff cheese blend into bread slits. Cheese should be overflowing from the top of the loaf.

In a small bowl mix melted butter and remaining ingredients. Spoon mixture evenly over stuffed cheese slits.

Wrap entire loaf in heavy duty aluminum foil and place in oven 15 minutes. Remove loag and open the top of the foil to expose the top of the bread. Bake 5 to 10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted and tops are nicely brown and crisp.

Let cool a few minutes before serving. Can serve with Italian dressing or pizza sauce for dipping.
