1/2 Quart buttermilk-room temperature
2 1/2 C. regular flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 C. sugar
1 C. raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Let the buttermilk come to room temperature at least-I add a little vinegar or lime juice to sour more.
Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar and raisins
Add buttermilk just to moisten ingredients
Grease a small dutch oven and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees

Allow to cool for a while and then turn out on a plate
Make sure it is cool before cutting

I had never had Soda Bread before I tried Colleen's Nana's bread. It is absolutely delicious. She is wonderful at everything she does...cooking, sewing, still babysits the kids! I can't wait to try this at home ~ Kim
