7 cups peeled figs
6 cups sugar
4 small packages strawberry Jello
1/2 cup hot water
pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve Jello in hot water. Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a slow boil. Cook over low heat for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Stir occasionally. Pour into prepared jars* skimming if needed.


*To prepare jars, wash lids and jars and run jars through a boiling water bath before adding fruit. Place lids in a small sauce pan of boiling water. Once jars have been filled, wipe the rim and place lid from boiling water on the jar, adding the band.
