½ tsp salt
1 c. chopped celery
1½ c. boiling water
1½ c. cubed potato
milk
¼ c. butter
¼ c. chopped onion
¼ c. flour
¾ lb. cooked ham, cut into bite size pieces
2 T. chopped parsley
1 c. drained, cooked or canned peas
½ c. grated, processed, american cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Cook salt and celery to boiling water and cook, uncovered 10 minutes. Add potatoes and cook 15 minutes longer, drain, reserving liquid.
Add enough milk to liquid to make 1 1/2 cups. Melt butter in saucepan, add onion and cook until soft about 3 minutes. Add flour and blend. Add milk mixture gradually and stir and cook until thickened. Add ham, parsley and peas to potato mixture and put into a greasted 1 1/2 quart casserole. Add white sauce, sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 350 degree oven. Cook for about 30 minutes.
