2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¾ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground nutmeg
½ tsp salt
1 c. butter or margarine
¾ c. brown sugar, packed
½ c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
¼ c. milk
2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1 c. each seedless raisins and walnuts (chopped)

Heat oven to 350º.
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Work butter in a bowl until creamy.
Add brown and granulated sugars and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in milk. Add sifted dry ingredients, mix until thoroughly blended. Stir in oats, raisins and walnuts. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on rack.
