½ cup white Karo
¼ cup water
2 cups shelled, skinless raw peanuts
1/8 + 1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 + 1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:
**Don't cook on a rainy day**
Combine sugar, Karo & water in 3 quart saucepan on top of stove – bring to boil on high heat. Stir in peanuts (gently so as not to break boil). Continuously stir keeping syrup at rolling boil on high heat until peanuts turn golden brown (takes 3-5 minutes). (Takes me about 7-9 mins) Remove from heat and stir in salt and baking soda until well blended – syrup should still be frothy. Pour out onto a well buttered 13X9 “cookie sheet with sides to allow candy to spread & cool. Cool completely then break into clumps using the handle of a butter knife. Store in an airtight container
