Crisp:
1½ cup oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup chopped nuts
1½ cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup shortening

Filling:
4 cups peeled, cored, and sliced apples (or more)
½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour
½ teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Work together crisp ingredients thoroughly as for pie crust. Put half crumbs in greased cake pan.
Mix filling ingredients, then add pour add to crisp in cake pan. Add the rest of crisp on top.
Bake half-hour at 350°.
