2 pounds ground steak, ¼-inch thick, cut in bite-size cubes
3 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
⅓ cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon parsley
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1 medium bay leaf
¾ teaspoon each salt and pepper
6 oz can mushrooms
¾ cup water
¾ cup burgundy wine
cooked noodles or rice

Directions:

Shake meat with flour to coat (use all of the flour.) Melt butter in skillet. Brown part of cubed meat, remove, brown rest of meat. Return all meat to skillet. Remove from heat. Add onions, parsley, garlic, bay leaf, salt and pepper and mix well. Stir in mushrooms, burgundy, and water. Bring mixture to boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer until meat is tender, about 1 hour. Remove bay leaf.
Serve over hot fluffy rice or buttered noodles.
