1 cup soft butter
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. lemon zest
2 eggs
4 tbsp. milk
4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and lemon zest. Add in the eggs and milk. Mix dry ingredients together and add to shortening mixture. Mix well.

Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inch apart on baking sheet (non-stick foil lined) Grease the bottom of a glass. Dip glass into sugar and press on dough (to flatten each cookie.

Bake 400 for 8-10 minutes or until a light golden brown.

Using colored sugar makes them more fun.
